What we believe:
Triune God
We worship a triune God- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Because of sin, we were eternally separated from the holy Creator. But God in his rich mercy sent his son, Jesus Christ, both fully God and fully man, to be a sacrifice for our sin. His resurrection from the grave defeated death and spares those who trust in His name from eternal separation from a holy God. Through the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in those who put their faith in Christ we are being sanctified and equipped to live as the men God created us to be.
Holy Bible
We hold the Bible as the inspired, inerrant word of God. It is the filter through which we view everything in the world around us. From discussions on masculinity to making sense of current events- we trust that the Bible speaks authoritatively and is relevant in our daily lives.
The Church
We believe that the local church is God’s design for men and their families to be equipped, to be discipled, to worship, and serve. As such, we encourage all men to actively participate (and lead) in the local body of Christ.
Our Role
All men are created equal, but not all men are created the same. We seek to be a supplement to the local church and engage men who share our bent for maturing as leaders, pursuing God through enjoying his creation, and growing in grit. All with the hope of encouraging a generation of men to live boldly as Christ has called us to.
What we’re not:
A Brand of Christianity
We don’t think if you haven’t killed an elk with a letter opener that your faith is suspect. Jesus never said you had to like camping, the outdoors, or other things our society calls manly to be a real man of God.
Tin-Foil Hat Wearers
Thanks to the Discovery Channel, the assumption these days is that if you’re into things like wilderness survival or tactical training you probably have a cache of food and ammo for the next three decades in your closet, but that’s not us. We’ve simply found those skills have made for great adventures from childhood forward. You’ll be pleasantly surprised that the guys that attend our events are normal too- teachers, accountants, veterans, and factory workers- a cross-section of American working men.
Perfect
We’ll go to great depths to make sure everything we teach is perfectly in line with Scripture and the lives we lead are in step with that same teaching. But we’re only men, so give us grace and call us out when we stumble and test our words against what the Bible says.
For Everyone
Not all men believe the same stuff we do; not everyone enjoys the stuff we do. And that’s ok.
